“We really need your help”
Here’s why…..Every year in Lakewood, there are hundreds of people that struggle to feed themselves and their families. Especially during the holidays! That’s why each year at holiday time the Lakewood Charitable Assistance Corp. and hundreds of volunteers from Lakewood gather and deliver 2 large bags of food to over 600 families and seniors ensuring that they enjoy a hot holiday meal (and several meals thereafter too!). Plus, in the spring we also provide household cleaning supplies to an additional 150 families!
But, without your generous support, we can’t continue to help them! Even though we have over 100 volunteers from groups like the Rotary, Kiwanis, Key Club, Jaycees, Boys and Girl Scouts, and H2O who share their time to help bag the food and distribute it, we can’t buy the food we desperately need to help these families and seniors without the kindness of donors such as you!
